1. Leonard (1880—1969), britanski intelektualac, izdavač i novinar, publicističkim radovima i osobnim druženjima vrlo utjecajan na britanski književni i politički život svoga vremena; zajedno sa svojom suprugom Virginiom bio je domaćin tzv. Bloomsbury grupe (engleski modernisti: pisci, filozofi i umjetnici koji su se često sastajali 1907—1930)
2. Virginia (1882—1941), engleska književnica, piše romane u kojima smiono odbacuje konvencionalnu fabulu i slijedi unutarnji monolog i strujanje svijesti (Gospođa Dalloway, Svjetionik, Valovi); u esejima o problemima suvremene žene zastupala neovisnost i mogućnost stvaranja (Zasebna soba za ženu); jedna od najcjenjenijih engleskih književnih kritičarki međuratnog razdoblja
